Social Activities
When not in soccer sessions, students can take part in a wide range of social activities where they can meet other international students.
Events include weekly discos, quizzes, and talent shows. Every two-week course also includes two full-day excursions to destinations such as York Minster and the Beamish open air museum. The highlight of the course is a guided visit to the Manchester United Stadium at Old Trafford - given to all students.

Stafford House Study Holidays is British Council accredited and has over 12 years' experience of operating high quality English language summer courses.
English language teaching
The English language programme has been specially created by Stafford House Study Holidays for the Manchester United Soccer Schools programme. As well as teaching the language students need in their soccer training, classes use soccer to teach general English and communications skills, e.g. listening to match commentaries, reading newspaper reports, watching player interviews. Classes are communicative, and involve working in pairs, role-play and language games.
Qualified teachers
Students receive 20 lessons of English lessons per week, taught by qualified teachers in classes of a maximum size of 16 students. Students are tested on arrival, and placed in classes with other students of approximately the same level. Teaching materials have been developed specially for the soccer course by experienced teachers.
